Viking beats Odd Grenland 3-0 in Norway
OSLO (AP) - Mame Diouf Niang scored two goals Sunday to lead Viking to a 3-0 victory over Odd Grenland in the first round of the Norwegian league.
The Senegalese striker opened the scoring in the fourth minute, before adding his second in the 18th. Ragnval Soma added the third goal in the 21st in front of 12,816 fans at the stadium in Stavanger.
Molde, which beat Lyn Oslo 1-0 away, was the only other side to win, with the other games in the first round of matches ending in draws.
Also Sunday, it was: Aalesund 1, Tromsoe 1; Bodoe/Glimt 1, Fredrikstad 1; and Stroemsgodset 3, Start 3. Stabaek drew 1-1 with Lillestroem on Saturday.
Last year's champion Valerenga plays Rosenborg later Sunday, while Sandefjord Fotball plays Brann on Monday.
