England beat West Indies by 1 run in 1st ODI
GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) - England beat West Indies by 1 run on the Duckworth/Lewis system in the first one-day international at National Stadium in Providence on Friday.
West Indies, chasing England's 270-7 off 50 overs, went off for bad light at 244-7 off 46.2 overs and was one run behind the par score on the Duckworth/Lewis system.
The second match in the five-match series is on Sunday at the same ground.
