PETALING JAYA: ntv7 have stepped in to become the host broadcaster for this year’s Petronas Malaysian F1 Grand Prix, which will be held at the Sepang F1 Circuit from April 3-5.
The deal was officially signed at Sri Pentas in Bandar Utama yesterday between ntv7 and the organisers of the GP, Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
Among those present at the signing ceremony were ntv7 group chief executive officer of television networks, Media Prima Bhd, Datuk Seri Ahmad Farid Ridzuan and SIC chief executive officer Razlan Razali.
Razlan welcomed the new host broadcaster and looked forward to a successful staging of the GP.
“This is the first time ntv7 will be our host broadcaster but we are very excited to be working with the channel,” he said.

ntv7 will also be capitalising on the opportunity to be associated with the F1 with a race programme that covers all 17 Grand Prix this season.
