Price and Toms win by three shots
BARRINGTON (Rhode Island): Nick Price (pic) and David Toms shot a combined 11-under 60 to win the CVS Caremark Charity Classic at Rhode Island Country Club on Tuesday.
Price and Toms combined for a 36-hole total of 16-under 126 in the best-ball format and earned the US$300,000 top prize.
The victory was Price’s third in the 11-year history of the tournament and the first for Toms, who accounted for eight of the team’s 11 overall birdies.
