Singapore to face Sri Lanka in Asian netball final
PETALING JAYA: Defending champions Singapore will play three-time winners Sri Lanka in the final of the Asian netball championship at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara tomorrow.
In the semi-finals yesterday, Sri Lanka thumped Thailand 88-44 and Singapore beat Malaysia 51-39.
Malaysia will face Thailand today in the third-placing play-off.
The defeat was a huge blow to Malaysia as the finalists would earn automatic qualification to the 2011 World Championships in Singapore.
