Japan set up dates with Holland, Ghana
TOKYO: Japan will play Holland and Ghana in September in warm-up games ahead of the 2010 World Cup, coach Takeshi Okada said on Wednesday.
The Blue Samurai will travel to the Holland for a friendly against the hosts in Enschede on Sept 5 and another against the African side in Utrecht on Sept 9, the Japan Football Association (JFA) said.
Like Japan, the Dutch have already qualified for next year’s tournament, while Ghana lead Africa’s Group D.
The JFA also said that, in other upcoming friendlies, Japan will host Scotland in Yokohama on Oct 10 and Togo in Oita on Oct 14. — AFP
