Brazil defender Andre Santos to join Turkey's Fenerbahce
SAO PAULO: Corinthians announced Monday it has reached a deal to sell Brazil defender Andre Santos to Turkish club Fenerbahce.
The Brazilian club said midfielder Cristian will also join the Turkish team.
Corinthians said on its Web site that Andre Santos and Cristian still need to undergo medical exams and finalize details on their contracts with Fenerbahce.
Financial details were not released. Andre Santos was a starter for Brazil when it won the Confederations Cup in South Africa last month.
He was summoned for the first time for Brazil's national team in May and needed only one match to secure his spot in coach Dunga's lineup.
Andre Santos and Cristian helped Corinthians win the traditional Sao Paulo state championship earlier this year and the Brazilian Cup this month. - AP
