Aquilani passes medical, signs 5-year deal with Liverpool
LIVERPOOL, England: Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani has signed a five-year contract at Liverpool after passing his medical.
Aquilani underwent his examination on Friday and dispelled concerns over an ankle injury that recently needed surgery.
Liverpool reportedly agreed to pay AS Roma about 20 million pounds ($33million; euro24 million) to sign Aquilani after losing Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid earlier this week.
