Lotus mark homecoming by launching LR8 drink
LOTUS Racing brand set a new milestone when the LR8 energy drink was launched yesterday as part of their home coming celebrations.
The LR8 is manufactured in Malaysia and will be tailing the team in the remaining 17 rounds of the championships.
The chief executive officer of LR8, David Hepworth, said at the launch that the drink was part of the Lotus brand and many more items would follow suit in the months to come.
“We are in many ways a Malaysian product as it is manufactured here. And we hope to export it to all other countries where F1 races are held. This is our present marketing strategy,” he said at the Hardrock Cafe where Lotus Racing drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli were at hand to sample the drink.
The LR8 logo can be seen on the nose of the T127 cars and also at the sides. The LR8 are also one of the sponsors of the Malaysian GP.
