Jean and Ainil hoping for better fortunes in Jakarta
PETALING JAYA: Leading Malaysian professionals Jean Chua and Ainil Johani Abu Bakar are in a rush to finish this week with good grades.
For the duo, it’s payback time as they had a poor outing on homeground at last week’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club – finishing towards the bottom end of the overall results.
Both are determined to put last week’s results at the back of their minds and are looking forward to an impressive performance when they tee off for the Indonesian Open at the Palm Hill Golf and Country Club in Jakarta tomorrow.
“We did not actually play badly at the Sime Darby LPGA but the other players’ scores were too good ... thus we were parked at the bottom end. All my rounds were in the 70s and I guess it was good for a event like that,” said Jean, with Ainil agreeing.
