Farrah’s a rare breed

NOWADAYS it is very rare to find athletes who excel in both studies and sport.
Former national rhythmic gymnast Dr Farrah Imran belongs to this class of distinguished achievers.
What is even more admirable is that the 35-year-old has managed to stay grounded.
Dr Farrah, who is of Punjabi-Malay descent, credits her parents – Dr Imran Gurbachan and Aminah Sirajuddin – and older brother Dr Amar for helping her to be level-headed.
She also described her husband, Dr Enda Kelly, as her source of strength and inspiration. The couple were married in 2009.
