Karamjit keeps shining in demanding sport despite lack of financial support
HE had to rely on the generosity of friends and family members to continue racing. Face by the setbacks, many would have given up a long time ago.
But not Karamjit Singh, who continued to excel in rallying and looks set to win the 2WD class in the Asia Pacific Series Championships (APRC) for the second year running.
Karamjit now has a 22-point lead at the top of the standings after winning the Rally of Hokkaido last week and looks set to wrap up the title chase when the field heads to the final round in China next month.
The 50-year-old, fondly known as the Flying Sikh and driving for the Proton R3 Cusco Rally Team this year, has continued to excel in the demanding sport despite the lack of support from the corporate sector.
