Rosberg makes pit stop at 1001st station
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team driver Nico Rosberg made a special pit stop here to join in the pre-launch hype of Petronas’ 1001st station in Wangsa Maju yesterday.
Rosberg, who finished fifth in the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, was the “surprise present” for the lucky winners of Petronas Dagangan Berhad’s (PDB) online Facebook contest.
The winners were treated to a rare and personal encounter with the Formula One driver.
Rosberg congratulated Petronas’ accomplishment and said that he enjoys visiting Malaysia.
“Congratulations to Petronas on the opening of their 1001st station. I always enjoy visiting Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur but it’s especially nice to be here and share the occasion,” said Rosberg
“Last year, we did a programme at the first-ever Petronas station (Taman Tun Dr Ismail) and today I am at the 1001st station, which is an impressive accomplishment.”
