Zamri and Ilham win Round 7
PETALING JAYA: Veteran Muhammad Zamri Baba combined with Mohd Ilham Mohd Kamal to win the Open Class category in Round 7 of the KBS-MAM Kapcai Endurance National Championship at the Dato’ Sagor Racing Circuit in Kampung Gajah, Perak, yesterday.
The duo, riding for Chian Giap Motor Ketam Racing Team completed 115 laps to edge out the experienced partnership of Mohd Adib Rosley, Mohd Azhar Abdul Jalil and Tengku Amirul Haffiruddin Tengku Hanafi of MOTUL Yamaha Y.Y. Pang Racing Team.
The championship will proceed to Kuala Terengganu from Feb 1-2 for Round 8.
The Grand Finals will be held at the Sepang International Circuit on Feb 22. The top seven finishers in each category will qualify for the Grand Finals.
Winners of the Grand Finals will earn automatic berths to this year’s SIC Ninja 250 Cup, which provides a chance for the riders to earn wildcard tickets to compete in the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix in October.
