Bolt in shock over Pistorius arrest
HOUSTON: Usain Bolt says he was shocked by the news that fellow Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius had been charged with the shooting death of his model girlfriend.
In an interview on Friday after the NBA’s All-Star celebrity game, the Jamaican gold medalist still couldn’t seem to believe it, saying “I’m still just trying to process it in my head to see if this is really real.”
Bolt says he doesn’t know Pistorius well, but that he has spoken to him at various events.
Asked if he plans to contact the double-amputee sprinter who became a star of the London Olympics, Bolt said “I’ve got to stand back and see what’s going on and then I’ll decide what to do.”
