Four Maybank Open slots up for grabs
KUALA LUMPUR: The qualifying tournament for the four coveted spots for the Maybank Malaysian Open 2013 will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC) on Feb 26 and 27.
Four of Malaysia’s best golfers from the Professional Golf Association of Malaysia (PGAM) Order of Merit namely Nicholas Fung, Sukree Othman, R. Nachimuthu and Airil Rizman have been granted automatic entry.
Danny Chia, who is a Maybank Golf Ambassador, has gained an automatic entry based on his impressive Asian Tour Order of Merit.
All those granted automatic entry are the top 12 ranked golfers from the Professional Golf Association of Malaysia (PGAM) Order of Merit. In addition to the slots for professional golfers, six slots will be granted to amateurs from the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) national team.
