Milo will continue to fuel their efforts to support Malaysian sports at the grassroots level with a rebranded corporate social responsibility initiative called “Milo To Go Further Camp”.
This programme, previously known as “Milo Play More, Learn more” is in line with the Ministry of Education’s “one student one sport” policy.
“Through our active involvement in sports in Malaysia, we have played a role in the emergence of new talents in sports and we hope to continue doing so,” said Nestle Malaysia Berhad executive director of Da–iry Business Unit Ho Hau Chieh yesterday.
A total of 12 camps will be held in different schools nationwide this year.
The programme will involve residents’ associations and Rukun Tetangga organising sporting clinics with Milo providing the financial and logistics backing.
The first camp kicked off at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Alam Damai in Cheras yesterday, where 320 students took part in football, netball and badminton clinics.
Malaysian Teachers Foundation Berhad chairman Tan Sri Alimuddin Mohd Dom officiated the event.
Milo have been championing life values formation through sports since the brand started in Malaysia and this initiative has produced many local athletes in different kind of sports.
