The Honor 8 Pro sports a large 5.7in QHD display. — Huawei

Honor Malaysia has confirmed that its latest flagship – the Honor 8 Pro – will be arriving on our shores next month.

First launched in China in April, the device features a large 5.7in QHD display (1,440 x 2,560 pixels), HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor, 64GB internal storage and 4,000mAh battery.

Similar to many of Huawei’s and Honor’s devices, the 8 Pro has a dual-lens setup with two rear 12-megapixel cameras.

The monochrome lens captures black-and-white images with improved depth while the RGB lens ensures faithful and vivid colour reproduction – both are combined using sophisticated software for a dazzling shot.

Users have two options for memory – 6GB or 4GB – but the phone will only be available in one colour (Midnight Black) at launch.

However, the company has yet to announce the prices or pre-order dates.
