India's daily Covid-19 infections at lowest in 3 months; total tally nears 8 million

NEW DELHI, Oct 27 (AP): Authorities in India on Tuesday announced that there were 36,470 newly confirmed coronavirus infections - that’s the lowest one-day tally in more than three months in a continuing downward trend.

In its report Tuesday, the Health Ministry also listed 488 new fatalities from Covid-19 in the previous 24 hours, raising the overall death toll to 119,502.
