BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): Due to changing times and technological advancement, the approach to road safety issues has transitioned from the traditional three E’s of ‘engineering, education and enforcement’ and systematic approach to the current ‘Vision Zero’, which acknowledges that deaths or serious injuries are avoidable and accepts that human errors can occur.

These were said by Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary Pengiran Dato Paduka Mustapha, who chairs the National Road Safety Council (MKKJR) during the launch of road safety books in conjunction with World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2022 (WDR 2022) at Royal Berkshire Hall, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong.
