Thailand sends back over 120 Myanmar nationals to Kawthaung

YANGON: It is reported that Thailand sent back more than 120 Myanmar nationals to Kawthaung, Myanmar on Thursday (Sept 26).

On Thursday (Sept 26) afternoon, 127 Myanmar nationals who had been sentenced for various reasons in Thailand were brought back to Kawthaung, Myanmar, via Ranong, Thailand.

It is said that the relevant officials of Kawthaung town would check the repatriated Myanmar citizens whether or not they have Covid-19 infection.

Upon running background checks and awareness campaigns, suspects of Covid-19 would be temporarily kept in the observation centre and closely monitored.

Kawthaung city officials would also arrange for those who are not suspected of being infected with the virus to return to their homes. - Eleven Media/ANN
