Six China nationals sent to court for murder of a countryman in Phnom Penh

PHNOM PENH (Khmer Times): Six Chinese national suspects have been been sent to court, for the brutal murder of a compatriot to death in a Phnom Penh street recently.

Chamkar Mon District Military Police arrested the six Chinese suspects at 1am on September 25, 2024, along Norodom Blvd. in Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh.

According to sources at the scene, before the incident, they saw a group of six Chinese people arguing with another Chinese man

A fight broke out and, in the ensuing fracas, a Chinese man was stabbed repeatedly and died.

The Chamkar Mon District Gendarmerie arrived at the scene and arrested a total of six suspects and took them to the Phnom Penh Gendarmerie Office for questioning and further procedures.

The men were charged yesterday by the Phnom Penh Municipal Gendarmerie Criminal Office with criminal charges who filed a case to be sent to court for legal proceedings. - Khmer Times
