Sumandak Sister Wani Kayrie is going places and the Sabahan lass impresses with her new single 'Aiman Tino'


AFTER taking a break from her busy schedules for almost a year, singer Wani Kayrie is back in the limelight with her new single 'Aiman Tino'.

The songstress under top record promoter Rocketfuel Entertainment gave all a glimpse of the song in a glitzy press conference in Kuala Lumpur.

Excerpts of the song composed and produced by award-winning composer Ezra Kong has been in the limelight in YouTube since last month and the reaction to the song has been very excellent.

Many of her fans have said that this one of the best songs she has sang and many netizens have also said they are eagerly waiting for the full single to be blasted in the airways.

At the press conference, Wani Kayrie says her recently released single titled Aiman Tino has nothing to do with fellow singer whose name had been immortalised in the song.

"When I first received the demo tape (of the song), my initial reaction was to think either it was something to do with Aiman, or even a song meant for him.

"So I asked Ezra about it, and he told me the name was used simply to make it rhyme well," said 24-year-old Wani whose real name is Syazwani Abdullah.

"Anyhow, when I tried out the song. It was a very catchy song with superb lyrics and tempo. I just kind of love it and the song's title just fits everything in, I guess."

She also said they her team had also informed and asked for the greenlight from the singer Aiman before they went ahead to record the single.

"I heard that he's also excited when he found out that his name had been used for the song and that it is the creation of the award-winning composer," shared Wani.

Wani added she was hoping for fans to receive give her the full support with the song and so far is extremely happy with the initial response that she has received from her fans in regarding to the song.

"This song is vey special to me. There is also local and foreign identity to the tune. I really wish that my fans will as enthusiastic as me for the song," said an elated Wani.

"I also like thank (Mr) Ezra Kong for bringing out the best in me with this song. To work with someone like him who has won so many awards and honours, I really do feel honoured and I hope this song will push me further in my career."

Head of Rocketfuel Entertainment Sher Leen Wee said they are confident of the potential of the song.

"This is a special song sung by a singer with a huge potential. I hope the mix will push this song to be among heard songs in the country. The song really does has huge potential," said Sher.

"I just like to add further that this song has many modern twist to it but at the same time the Malaysian element also can be clearly seen in the song.

"As the promoter and producer of the song, Rocketfuel Enertainment will also push the song to its highest level and also to the region. We must showcase the song to all arenas as much as we can."

The full 'AIman Tino' song can also be heard under the format of Dolby Atmos in Apple Music. The exclusive full song can also be seen in Wani Kayrie TV.

For the record, Wani will also be in action in the highly anticipated 'A night with the Sumandak Stars' at the Zepp KL on Saturday (Nov 30), an event that showcases all the top Sabah singers.

Brought to fans by top local event producer Orange International, the organisers have promised music fans that it will be one-of-a-kind-event that will be etched in the minds of Malaysian fans forever.

Besides Wani, the others stars for the concert includes top singing sensation Bella Astillah leading the way with top diva Marsha Milan while well-known songstress Adira Suhaimi, Nikky Palikat together with rising star Didi Astillah and the experienced duo Ayu Damit and Azharina Azhar completes the set.
