Amcorp Perting Hydro power plant expands capacity


BENTONG: Amcorp Perting 4MW Mini Hydro Power Plant, Amcorp Properties Berhad's (Amprop) first renewable energy project, has on Friday successfully obtained feed in tariff commercial operation date (FiTCD) status from Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (SEDA) on its expanded capacity of 6MW.

The FiTCD status is effective from 27 April 2015. Electricity generated from the Amcorp Perting 6MW Mini Hydro Power Plant is sold to the national utility company, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) under a 21-year Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreement (REPPA) at an estimated value of RM8.8 million per year.
