Poh Kong sees steady demand for gold as economy slows

Choon: ‘This year will remain challenging, but the board remains optimistic that we will hopefully be able to achieve better results than last year.’

KUALA LUMPUR: Poh Kong Holdings Bhd (Poh Kong) remains “cautiously optimistic” that the company will be able to maintain similar levels of profit for its financial year 2016 (FY2016).

The group also forecasts steady demand for gold, as customers turn to gold to hedge against inflation and a slowing economy.
