New developments from X70 CKD output

TANJUNG MALIM: The kick-start of Proton sport utility vehicle, X70, completely-knocked-down (CKD) production has unofficially set off new developments in Malaysia’s automotive vendor ecosystem, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Darell Leiking said.

He said the Proton-Geely partnership had further grown the domestic vendor ecosystem by matchmaking local and overseas companies to work together to supply parts for its current and future models.
