Carbon credits – a much sought after commodity


Overall, the market for carbon credits could be worth more than US$50bil (RM227bil) in 2030, as indicated in a study by McKinsey in January 2021.

AS it launches the carbon voluntary carbon market (VCM), Bursa Malaysia sees that in a carbon-constrained world, carbon credits will complement Malaysia’s resource-intensive economic activities.

Companies can also produce zero-carbon products and services, and gain a competitive advantage in green supply chains across the world.
