KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks with recent corporate announcements include BTM Resources, Emico, EP manufacturing, Berjaya, PETRONAS Chemicals, Managepay Systems and AWC said Apex Research.

The research firm said BTM Resources Bhd after its six-for-one rights issue with free detachable warrants, has been under-subscribed by 10.19%.

Emico Holdings Bhd announced that a fire incident occurred at its unit’s manufacturing plant in Penang on Sunday.

EP Manufacturing has entered into a master agreement with Singapore-based Averte Global Pte Ltd and Hong Kong-based Blueshark Group Ltd to form a strategic partnership to sell two-wheel electric vehicles (EVs) in Indonesia and Vietnam.

Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp) confirmed that it is “in the midst of negotiation with a potential seller of a licensed entity, subject to approval of Bank Negara Malaysia.

Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd (PetChem) has inked a heads of agreement to sell a 25% stake in its wholly-owned Petronas Chemicals Fertiliser Sabah Sdn Bhd to SMJ Sdn Bhd, which is owned by the Sabah state government.

ManagePay Systems Bhd (MPay) signed a MOU with Eddid Financial to launch and market Eddid Financial’s internet-based securities trading mobile application in Malaysia.

AWC Bhd has entered into an MOU with an Indonesian company PT Bintang Timur Investama to jointly explore investment opportunities in renewable and green energy in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Apex said the FBM KLCI could move sideways around the resistance of 1,500 points following the mixed performance on Wall Street.

The US market was flat overnight with the Dow and S&P closing slightly lower while the Nasdaq edged higher as investors took a breather from Friday's rally.

Earlier, European stocks extended their gains due to further reopening of the Chinese economy.
