Velesto wins RM570mil contracts from PETRONAS Carigali

PETALING JAYA: Velesto Energy Bhd has received three notices of assignments relating to the provision of jack-up drilling rigs for PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd totalling US$128mil (RM570mil).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Velesto said the jobs entail the provision of services of three jack-up rigs, namely Naga 3, Naga 4 and Naga 6.

Naga 3 is a premium independent-leg cantilever jack-up drilling rig with drilling depth capability of 30,000 feet and has a rated operating water depth of 350 feet.

Naga 4 and Naga 6 have an operating water depth of 400 feet and 350 feet, respectively.

The provision of services of all three jack-up rigs is expected to commence in the third quarter of this year.
