PETALING JAYA: Reservoir Link Energy Bhd has completed solar projects totalling more than 1.5 gigawatts since its diversification into the solar renewable energy segment in 2021, via the acquisition of Founder Energy Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, the energy related services provider said it has completed a total of 1,513 megawatts (MW) in solar projects to date, with 311 MW delivered in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2021.

This was followed by the completion of 924 MW in the following 18 months in the financial period ended June 30, 2023 and 278 MW delivered in the financial year ended June 30, 2024.

“The group has since substantially grown its solar project portfolio and has solidified its presence in Malaysia as one of the leading engineering, procurement and construction service providers.

“This achievement also underscores the group's commitment and focus towards renewable energy solutions as it continues to develop a healthy pipeline of solar projects, while exploring other alternative energy solutions as part of its aspiration of transitioning into being an energy solutions provider to further diversify its revenue stream.”

Executive deputy chairman Thien Chiet Chai believes this is just the beginning of its journey, especially with the imminent listing of Founder Energy on the Nasdaq this year.

“We are truly excited for what the future holds for us as we continue to chart the course for a cleaner tomorrow in line with the growing adoption of renewables accelerating the shift towards the transition to clean energy for a more sustainable future.”
