New export opportunities to lift MCE

PETALING JAYA: MCE Holdings Bhd expects to benefit from the global re-positioning of manufacturing facilities to Asean, which is creating new export opportunities.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MCE said net profit in the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2024, rose to RM4.14mil from RM2.94mil in the previous corresponding period, mainly attributed to lower direct costs resulting from enhanced operational efficiencies.

MCE, which is involved in the engineering and manufacturing of automotive electronic and mechatronic systems for both the local and international markets, said its revenue in the fourth quarter dipped to RM36.95mil from RM37.89mil a year earlier. The company also declared a second single-tier interim dividend of 1.5 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ended July 31, 2024, to be paid on Oct 30.
