Sunview secures RM196mil worth of agreements


PETALING JAYA: Sunview Group Bhd has secured two contracts totalling RM196.1mil to develop two 29.99 megawatt alternating current (MWac) solar power plants in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the renewable energy firm said the contracts were awarded by Dayasinar Energy Sdn Bhd and Solarscape Energy Sdn Bhd and are valued at RM98.3mil and RM97.8mil, respectively.

“These contracts cover the design, procurement, erection, connection, commissioning, and testing, as well as the supply of equipment, for the construction of two ground-mounted photovoltaic solar generation facilities, each with a capacity of 29.99MWac.

“The solar power plants will be located adjacent to one another in Sungai Petani, Daerah Kuala Muda, Kedah. Both Dayasinar Energy and Solarscape Energy are principally engaged in the operation of generation facilities that produce electric energy.”
