How much are you willing to spend to find someone who's been spreading false claims about you?
For Hong Kong singer Josie Ho, the daughter of late Macau gambling king Stanley Ho, it's HK$1mil (RM610,768.50).
In a recent interview with Hong Kong news portal HK01, Josie said that someone had been spreading a lie about her to multiple companies. The rumour also involved her husband, singer-actor Conroy Chan.
"This person has been telling PR agencies that I will no longer be working as I'm (too busy) taking care of my husband," said the 48-year-old.
Josie added that the aforementioned individual hasn't been caught yet and she's offering a HK$1mil reward to anyone who finds them. She also said that she is relying on the media and her fans to uncover this person's identity.
Earlier in August, Josie opened up about the near-fatal health battle her husband went through in 2022 after he ruptured his aorta while moving a heavy item and had to undergo a major surgery.
The singer said then that Chan, 50, had to undergo regular dialysis treatment and rely on a urine bag and stoma.
In a more recent interview with Hong Kong media, Josie assured fans that Chan was doing better now. She also said that they would be going to the United States soon to seek treatment before returning to Hong Kong in December.
