Brickfields carpark harbours illegal small businesses

This private car park has sub-let a portion of the land to foreigners to do business in Brickfields, contravening several DBKL by-laws.

SUMAN (not his real name), a Bangladeshi, earns RM1,500 a month managing a small grocery shop operating from a private carpark in Brickfields.

The makeshift shop made from plywood and with a zinc roof, sells goods from Bangladesh.
