THE highly anticipated dance music show “Kuala Lumpur Warehouse Project” (KLWP) is back, bigger than ever before.

Rebranded as KLWP 2.0, the show organised by Leo Global Link Sdn Bhd will take place on Aug 26 at Mega Star Arena in Sungei Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur.

This time, it will feature nine local and international acts, focusing on techno, big room techno and hard techno.

The international acts include headliner Danny Avila, Maddix, Olly James, Marie Vaunt and Lister.

Leo Global Link chairman Datuk Muthalagan Sangaralingam said KLWP 2.0 was designed in response to public feedback and that the group would strive to exceed the expectations of those present at the last show.

“We’re expecting 4,000 people, of whom we hope 10% will be international travellers.

“KLWP aims to attract young urban travellers and music lovers from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and the rest of South-East Asia to not only have a great EDM (electronic dance music) experience but to also experience the wonders of our exciting city as a travel destination,” said Muthalagan.

He added that KLWP was proud to showcase homegrown talents such as Chukiess & Whackbhoi, Vision X, Smash and Nitrozeus.

Fresh to the EDM scene, music producer and DJ Nitrozeus said he was excited at the chance to perform among such a big line-up and one that included international talents.

“I was an accountant but began learning to deejay last year because of my friend. I am now pursuing this full time.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to play at an event like this,” he said.

KLWP artiste liaison and manager Georgia Ian Jr said the group hoped to create an inclusive space for all artistes to display their talent and thus was especially proud to welcome aspiring performers as well as female artistes such as DJ Marie Vaunt.

KLWP public relations head Hisham Asaludin said various safety measures would be taken to ensure that the show ran smoothly.

These include entrance spotchecks, keeping a medical team on standby and hiring private security.

Currently, both VIP and general admission (GA) tickets for phase one of ticket sales are sold out.

Phase two tickets for both categories are still available for purchase.

Phase Two GA tickets are priced at RM198 while VIP tickets are RM258 each.

GA tickets allow entry only to general admission areas, while VIP tickets allow entry to both VIP and general admission areas.

VIP ticket holders are also entitled to a designated VIP entrance, two free drinks (beer/ soft drinks/ water) and entry into the VIP bar and lounge.

Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmelon.com/klwp
