New plan to manage solid waste systematically

THE Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (PPSPPA) has launched a 2015-2020 action plan to manage solid waste systematically for a cleaner environment.

Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, who launched the action plan recently, said it would focus on different strategies to tackle solid waste, according to category including food waste, electric and electronic waste, hazardous household waste, construction waste and baby diapers waste.
