KOTA KINABALU: A dam remains the most viable option to mitigate water supply problems in the state, as seawater desalination would be too time-consuming and costly for the Sabah Government to consider, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
Shafie said this in response to additional questions by Tambunan assemblyman Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan at the state legislative assembly seating on Monday (Aug 13), concerning the Government’s proposal to build a dam in Papar.
