PETALING JAYA: Civil society groups and lawyers have lauded Attorney General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas’ (pic) decision to not appeal a High Court ruling that denying bail to Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) detainees is unconstitutional.
Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) commissioner Jerald Joseph said the move protected the rights and freedom of those who have been charged in court.
