King says current floods reminiscent of 1971 disaster

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has described the flood situation in the federal capital as similar to the major flood disaster of 1971.

Sultan Abdullah said 50 years after the incident, Malaysians should take it as a lesson and be prepared to deal with floods, especially in December and January.
