We’ll amend state forestry laws, says Hajiji

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah intends to amend its forestry law to ensure it is in line with amendments to the National Forestry Act 1984 that were passed in Parliament in July, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor (pic).

The Sabah Chief Minister said the proposed amendment to the state’s Forest Enactment 1968 would cover areas that would meet international standards, including tackling issues such as climate change, mitigation through carbon trading and biodiversity conservation.
