PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional has informed the Yang di-Pertuan Agong that none of its MPs supported Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin as the 10th Prime Minister.
"No Barisan MPs have given support towards Muhyiddin's candidacy as the 10th Prime Minister.

This was decided by the Barisan Nasional supreme council which met at Menara Dato' Onn in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (Nov 22).
However, his statement did not mention any decision on Barisan's possible post-electoral cooperation with Pakatan Harapan or Perikatan.
On Monday (Nov 21), Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and several Barisan leaders met with Pakatan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his entourage in the Seri Pacific Hotel, fuelling talk that both coalitions were in talks to have the necessary numbers to form the government.
Apart from this, the Barisan supreme council is taking a stand to remain open to discussions with any parties to ensure the government is formed in the interest of the country and for the betterment of the rakyat.
