Penang Bridge to close for marathon on Dec 11

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Bridge will be closed temporarily for the Penang Bridge International Marathon event from midnight to 10am on Sunday (Dec 11).

All motorists are advised to use the Sultan Abdul Halim Muad’zam Shah Bridge as an alternative and follow all on-site instructions.

The event starting from Queensbay Mall is expected to attract around 25,000 runners this year.

Touted as Penang’s largest sports event, it took a two-year break since the Covid-19 pandemic struck in 2020.
