Cops identify suspect in murder at Lukut food court


SEREMBAN: Police have identified a suspect in connection with the murder of a 38-year-old man outside a food court in Lukut on Wednesday (March 1).

"We have a suspect and are establishing his whereabouts.

"The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder," Negri Sembilan police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said at the state police contingent headquarters here on Monday (March 6)

DCP Ahmad Dzaffir added that the killing had nothing to do with secret society rivalry.

Police received a call at around 7.35pm on the day of the incident, claiming that a man had been stabbed.

Policemen sent to the scene found the victim in the parking area, unconscious and bleeding badly.

A medical team from the Lukut health clinic arrived shortly afterward and pronounced the victim dead.
