Negri cops looking for duo to help in food court murder probe

PORT DICKSON: Police are looking for two individuals to help in investigations into the murder of a 38-year-old man at a food court in Lukut near here.

District police deputy chief DSP Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said police wish to get in touch with Sin Poo Kiong, 40, from Bandar Baru Permas Jaya and Leong Kar Yan, 34, who is from Taman Johor Jaya, both in Johor.

"The duo are our main witnesses and we believe they can help us in our probe.

"We are still investigating the motive of the murder," he said in a statement Friday (March 10).

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

DSP Muhamad said those with information can also contact the district police station at 06-647 2222 or investigating officer ASP Muhammad Azril Ahmad Rapiee at 012-779 1224.

Police had received a call from a member of the public at around 7.35pm on March 1, claiming that a man had been stabbed outside the food court.

Policemen sent to the scene found the victim in the parking area, unconscious and bleeding badly.

A medical team from the Lukut health clinic arrived shortly, and pronounced the victim dead.
