ANGERED by her husband’s extramarital affair, a woman in a small town in China’s Guizhou province stripped his mistress naked before shaming her publicly.
China Press reported that last Saturday, the wife surnamed Xu was sentenced by the Congjiang county court to eight months’ jail for insulting the victim.
The court heard that Xu had suspected her husband of keeping a mistress for some time, so she camped near the man’s apartment to find proof.
Last November, Xu contacted three friends for help after discovering that the mistress was inside the apartment after her husband had left the unit.
They then stormed the premises before assaulting the mistress surnamed Yao and tearing off her clothes.
They also splashed pepper powder on Yao’s body before dragging the victim out to the street and parading her naked in public for about half an hour.
The court said Xu and the other three had acted violently and insulted the victim’s modesty because of marital problems.
It then handed an eight-month jail sentence and a one-year probation on Xu as well as a six-month jail sentence on the other three women for abetting Xu.
> Hong Kong actor Louis Koo visited a hotpot restaurant in Kuala Lumpur with his friends recently but no one at the restaurant recognised him despite him not wearing sunglasses or a face mask, Sin Chew Daily reported.
The news caused a stir on social media after a screenshot of CCTV footage showing Koo’s presence in the restaurant was circulated widely.
Netizens said it could be that the restaurant employees and patrons were born after the year 2000 and unfamiliar with the 52-year-old award-winning actor.
