Two die in in accident caused by heart attack in Sepang


SEPANG: A tragic accident claimed two lives after a lorry driver lost control of his vehicle following a heart attack.

In a statement on Wednesday (July 17), Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said the incident occurred at around 9.10am.

A total of seven vehicles were involved, including the lorry and two motorcycles.

"When the lorry was along Jalan Bukit Dugang, the driver is believed to have suffered a heart attack, causing him to lose control of the lorry and veer into the opposite lane. Six other vehicles were hit," he said.

Two motorcycle riders, aged 31 and 53, died following the collision. The 40-year-old lorry driver is currently being treated at Putrajaya Hospital for serious injuries.

"Investigations are still ongoing," he said.
