LOCAL singer Ning Baizura (pic) shared that she was also a victim of cyberbullying, saying that “I too have a heart and feelings.”

The 49-year-old admitted that she was affected by the recent attacks against her on social media which included calling her “a member of hell” and “an infidel”.

However, the artiste said that she will not let such hurtful remarks affect her daily life and career, particularly her mental health.

“It would be a lie if I said I did not feel it.

“But when I think of it again, why should I be a tortoise hiding when I can be the shell that protects it,” she told Utusan Malaysia.

The singer of Selagi Ada Cinta had become the target of cyberbullying recently for allegedly not being sensitive to the plight of the Palestinians during a live event on social media.

The mother of one said she is weary of entertaining negative comments and chose to remain silent.

“I have grown tired of blocking and reporting threats, especially those from fake accounts.

“It’s such a waste of time,” she added.

The singer said she would rather focus her efforts on her music and career, thanking her fans who have defended her.

> It was reported that local actress and singer Elizabeth Tan is considering undergoing in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment to realise her desire of becoming a mother.

Tan, also known also as Lizzy, 30, said she is not ruling out undergoing IVF treatment after experiencing a miscarriage.

Although her husband Siew Jim supports the idea, she said they both agreed to wait for a year to try for a child the natural way.

“At the very least, I know that I am able to get pregnant, so we opt for the natural way first,” she told Kosmo!.The singer of Semua Sudah said she is currently undergoing treatment and medication to stabilise her hormones.

“I thought it was easy to have a child but it’s actually quite difficult for me,” she said, adding that she had miscarried at the seventh week of her pregnancy last February.

At the moment, Tan said she does cardio exercises every week and watches her diet to stay healthy.

Tan, who acted in the film Sheriff Narko Integriti, said she hopes to get twins if possible but would be happy if she had a baby girl.
