Possible WWII bomb discovery halts operations at Sibuan substation


KOTA KINABALU: The substation on Sibuan Island is currently closed due to the discovery of a possible World War II bomb remnant at the location.

Sabah Parks issued the alert at 12.30pm on Tuesday (Jan 7).

It is said that the area under the Tun Sakaran Marine Park in the Semporna District would be closed until experts have identified the item and declared it safe to reopen to the public.

It was learnt that the authorities and bomb experts were heading to the site to investigate.
