CAIRO -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday agreed to "immediately" upgrade the diplomatic relations between the two countries and exchange ambassadors, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.

RIYADH -- The Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces on Monday agreed to a five-day extension of a cease-fire agreement they signed on May 20 after negotiations in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, Al Arabiya News reported.

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi rebels on Monday accused Saudi border forces of fatally shooting two Yemeni citizens and injuring two African migrants in the rebel-held province of Saada.

RAMALLAH/JERUSALEM -- A Palestinian was killed and eight others were injured on Monday morning during clashes with the Israeli soldiers in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses said.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a press statement that the fatality, identified as 37-year-old Ashraf Ibrahim, succumbed to wounds he sustained from Israeli soldiers' gunfire in Jenin. (Palestine-Israel-Clash)
