Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery went up 2.61 U.S. dollars, or 3.56 percent, to settle at 75.85 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery added 2.82 dollars, or 3.68 percent, to settle at 79.4 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
